I began riding motorized two wheel machines more than 5 decades ago at age 10 when my dad installed a single cylinder motor on a western flyer bicycle. I rode that contraption endless miles on those single lane dirt roads where we lived in the back woods of Georgia. I've been infatuated with motorcycles since. There has been only rare short periods of my life when there was not one or more motorcyles in my garage. The high physical risk is directly related to the incredable feeling motorcycling provides. It's initially addicting and only gets better the farther up the skills ladder you climb!
