It's definitely the right subframe for the gen 2. I have a feeling something went wrong during production. I've emailed dme with the details so it will be interesting to hear what they say!
Haven't posted on here in a while due to waiting around for parts.
Well today after a long 7 months wait due to coronavirus delays I finally got my DME subframe!
I got straight to fitting it but I wasn't long running into issues.
Had a lot of messing about trying to get mounting points for the...
@HayaWakened had to play around with position of the reservoirs a bit to clear the screen and the brake lever just barely fouls on the Inner fairing trim on full lock but it only causes a very small amount of drag on the brake.
@c10 the screen is from powerbronze, they do two different types...
So pulled the busa out of the shed today and got some things done!
Finished fitting the lsl rearsets.
Fitted a carbon generator case cover, ties in really nice now with the clever wolf front mudguard.
Can't remeber if I posted an update on these but I also fitted a pair of brembo rcs 19 master...
Very nice!!
If you decide to put a few of these into production and at a competitive price to the dme unit I can see you selling a lot of these!
I ordered a subframe from dme back at the end of January and I'm still awaiting delivery. It was expensive but I had no other options available
Some nice wheelies there! I've got a 45 rear sprocket to go on to mine so I'm looking forward to see if it makes power wheelies any easier. She will clutch up all day long as it is.
I've also got a mk1 bandit 1200 with a 1216 kit and high lift cams. These were always known to be hooligan bikes...
Ordered mine though a German based company on eBay. Motokay was the name of the seller, he was offering the best price on them at the time!
Did you get your carbon airbox on yet?
Going by the lsl website they are 2.5cm further back and 2cm higher. Sitting on the bike I noticed straight away they are further back but I didn't really notice the height as much. It's still a comfortable position and not cramped at all
Thanks for the info guys, I was mainly buying this just for the brake master cylinder, the guy selling them wanted the clutch m/c to be sold with it. For the price I was offered I couldn't say no lol. Anyway all parts landed in yesterday everything brand new still in the boxes! Will get them...
I've seen a lot use a 16 but the 19 master cylinder is listed for the busa on brembos website. I haven't received the kit yet but i don't think the kit came with a clutch switch. I've read before that bypassing the original clutch switch only causes issues and throws up an fi light..
