    Low end power

Unfortunately you're dealing with 2 completely different types of engines, a v-twin versus an inline 4. V-twins make their power down low, inline 4's make it up higher (and more of it). There's no real way to change those characteristics.... your best bet would be to get a v-4, they're known for...

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

Yep unfortunately that's been my experience with GM products as well....fast and flashy in the short term, but don't plan on keeping them long because they start to fall apart pretty quick :(

    Gen 3 hump

In my area of the U.S. there's no inspections required, and no emissions tests. Plus you can do any mods you want... I'm in the process of turbocharging my ZX14, and the only thing required is my insurance wanting me to keep receipts for the turbo kit for my full coverage. Man it's nice to live...

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

As most of us know here busa's give a whole different riding experience than most other bikes because of the big engine, big torque, super easily accessible power everywhere, and the ability to make big speed and acceleration, and make it seem instant and effortless. Those kind of thrills never...

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

Everywhere I've read including Suzuki's official specs claim 187bhp which is crank hp, directly off the end of the crank, nothing else connected. That's the same as an 06-07 zx14, which are no slouches. You lose around 12 hp at the back wheel due to the parasitic losses of the clutch and...

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

I agree... I think they've did a good job of compromising, by making a bike that's going to be a blast to ride, while meeting Euro 5 and keeping the cost semi-reasonable lol. It's not going to drop like the first gen did and shock the motorcycle world, but those days are over :( I think the...

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

I doubt it'll be the fastest you've ever owned, but it'll probably be the most well rounded :beerchug: I wouldn't recommend turbocharging a brand new gen 3, bye bye warranty for one, and turbocharging your daily rider is a very expensive and tedious affair. They need constant attention, need...

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

Yep I bought my busa close to sea level and rode it home which is a little over 5000ft up. It was brand new, but it was a few hours ride home, so I had a chance to get on it some during the ride.....it was sad to feel the power going away as I climbed up in elevation. That's the main reason I...

    Got Suzuki Hayabusa survey

That would be one of many electronics I would have turned off lol.

    Gen 3 Latest report ..

Personally I prefer a good top end rush, that's one of the big reasons I ride.... and with the first 2 gens of busa you had plenty of low/midrange and still had that addictive top end, because with big engines comes the ability to have both  I wouldn't be happy if my bike nosed over...

Caps quick thoughts on Gen 3

Now that's a story...we need to swap more of these on here :race: I had a similar experience, except they did have to graft skin off my ass  ........ just kidding  I do have asphalt in my arm tho from a power slide gone wrong, I took my forearm almost down to the bone, it was beyond...

    Gen 3 Gearing

For right now all we're going to get is very measured opinions on the gen 3, nobody wants to say anything too negative because they know they probably won't be invited to any more Suzuki bike intro's. Every company does that though when having their products reviewed... it's a way to keep the...
  14. The Big Red One

Caps quick thoughts on Gen 3

Yep I think the gen 3's going to be a great bike in the same way a gen 2 is, minus a little top end power, with some whizbang electronics most will never use, a nice (imo) cosmetic upgrade, and a not so nice price increase. If you are a busa fan with some (or a lot?) of disposable income lying...

    Good News For Kawasaki

Pulling the secondaries combined with Ivans map and tre on my 06 didn't affect throttle response or smoothness at all, it was as smooth as butter lol. What it did do was give me a gigantic boost in the off idle and low end throttle response. It took the fun factor WAY up... that was the single...
