what ive found related to the area you mention is the location of the back torque limiter, one thing that puts my mind a little more at ease about this issue, is that it seems enough people are experiencing the issue to call it normal. It is definatly a new one to me
my dealer also swore to me that ,the work that that service bulletin outlined was already done . ive always ridden bike bore kawis , they have never had these issues. it really pisses me off that this is even an issue on a new bike!! that all being said ,I LOVE THIS FRIGGING BIKE!!! ITS AWESOME...
my 08 does it as well , didnt do it when new , the bike only has 2000 miles now . ive got it narrowed down to the back torque limiter. a tighter chain helps though .i hate the clunk sound/ feel
ive read some of the old posts here that say maybe its the back torque limiter.this is the first bike ive ever had to do this. thank for the input guys
ive read alot about people having the bikes clunk around the front sprocket
area when releasing the clutch to first gear. mine is doing it as well .it seems that everyone has different input on this. the bike only has 1800 miles, chain slack is good ,even, and lubed. ive got the 17t on
front...
anyone using one of these units ,its the one that still allows the gear indiciatot to show the gears, while susposedly removing the timing retard in the first three gears.wandering if people like this unit or not
thanks
went down one in the front, thought i was on top of putting it back together rite, then found an extra dowel ,is this a big deal? is there more than the one dowel in that cover? will clutch actuator movement be affected because of the missing dowel?
thanks guys
