Comment by 'Super Phil' in item 'How many of you have taken your Hayabusa to Bonneville?'

I live in Salt Lake City, so I've run at a couple of events there on a CBR1100xx and an FZ1. Couple of questions for you: Were you just going to cruise out on the salt and let it rip? You can, but i wouldn't recommend it. When they have an organized event, they have carefully...

    Honda Hurricane anyone?

One of my first bikes was a 1987 Honda CBR 600 Hurricane. I had a lot of fun on it, and the red, white, and blue paint scheme looked awesome....still love that color scheme today. After that i had a 1998 CBR1100xx (Super Blackbird). That was a great bike too.

Any Iron Butt Challenge Alumns on here?

I completed a Saddle Sore 1000 about 10 years ago. The beauty of it was that i did it on a rental bike that i had for 24 hours. I won a 1-day rental from a Harley dealership, so I picked up a softtail deluxe (or whatever it was) at about 10am, rode from Salt Lake City to Denver, went to a...

    The Sierras have opened!

Sturgis is fun to hit during rally week at least once. Rooms are expensive, but most people stay at campgrounds instead. If you are only interested in riding the area then stay away during rally week. It's cool to see all the bikes there and experience the rally for a day or two, though...

    Riding Utah's canyons

By stickers do you mean the little warning stickers (use 90 octane, wear a helmet, etc)? It never occured to me to remove them. I guess i probably should, lol. I got the bike last Summer, and i haven't changed anything on it. I guess I'm not much of a modifier... just kind of ride things as is...

    Anyone Here From Florida?

Looks like Irma is heading your way. Are you heading for the hills? (So to speak) I hope it changes directions and leaves you guys alone!

    Hurricane Harvey

Well my wife got all her supplies and stuff delivered.... Now gets to head to Boston all week for work, lol. I think she was SUPER lucky and sustained no damage at all. When she's in town she stays off of Hwy. 6, and she said her car and motorcycle, etc, were just fine.

    Hurricane Harvey

My wife works out of Houston often, but luckily has been home with me in Salt Lake City for the last few days. We'll see if the cars she has parked there are ok. My Hayabusa was bought from a dealership in Houston, but then i rode it back to Utah. I like to think that i rescued the bike, lol...

    American Busa?

Kind of like an FZ1 on steroids. That's pretty cool.

Just Picked Up A 2014 Hayabusa

Yep, it's the Coffman exhaust tips. It came with those and a Power Commander. Coming from carb'd bikes (and zero mechanical aptitude, lol) I'm not quite sure if I should be changing anything or where to begin with the Power Commander. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Just Picked Up A 2014 Hayabusa

In the past I've had a 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1998 Honda CBR1100XX. Both great bikes, but always wanted a Hayabusa... and finally got one. Picked up a 2014 Hayabusa and proceeded to put about 1500 miles on it in 3 days, lol. I live about 120 miles from the Bonneville Salt Flats, so I'm...
