My experience with them was in a built Gen 3 motor. 9:1 compression carpenter head gen 2 cams to move the power band up for a LSR/Roll Racing turbo application. For what we were looking for they did a great job
So, we’ve ridden around the block and had a bunch of heat cycles and have no leaks or issues so it’s time to put fairings and stuff back on.
Coremotos should go on this weekend, kamikaze carbon tank is in the mail, carbon knee panels and ram air tube covers as well. I’m still hoping to be sub...
I’ve never owned a carb’d vehicle so I’m slightly in the dark with that, but drive by cable stuff usually has an uneven radius in the throttle body cam so that the throttle comes on progressive vs linear.
I don’t know specifics of the BT moto flash, but in my maxx I have it so that 10%...
Got the tank and seat on and everything under the seat buttoned up tonight. The seat fitment is about as perfect as you could get.
Also starting to figure out where I can mount my air system for my shifter. Originally I was going to put a 7oz bottle and regulator from MPS in the tail...
So still things left to do in the next few days:
I got this cool little gauge that is an extension of the maxx and will let me monitor basically anything I need to, and the fork mount I bought doesn’t show up till Monday
I also got carbon fairing vents to get rid of the last of the red trim...
Is to the things I added lol
I now have a 1 piece carbon tail and carbon seat pan from Motorfix. I also have the 1 piece front nose but haven’t fitted it on the bike yet. Together the tail section saves about 6.5 lbs, more if you have a full stock section (I already had a carbon tail and the...
Now the little stuff.
Everything went together super easy. This kit from Scott was absolutely flawlessly made and any of the issues I had were because I eat rocks sometimes lol.
Here’s random photos of the kit installed:
Alright. I didn’t forget about yall, I just got busy with life and would spend an hour a night wrenching and progress was slower than old dudes getting it up. Let’s catch everyone not on FB up!
This biggest news, she lives!!!! I haven’t ridden it in the street yet but it’s been heat cycles...
The bike will be significantly twitchier with a 1:1. Brain the CM flash and after switching to BT Moto the biggest benefit was <30% throttle manners. After being able to scale my own tps inputs in my max I think CM has very little of any scaling and that’s where a lot of the ride ability issues...
Bypass the ABS pump and run lines right from the MCs to the caliper.
Boost by smith sells an abs delete if you want to go that far as well. Especially with upgraded masters.
I have a friend that ran the rizomas and switched to the expensive ti integrated ones because of fitment/aesthetics.
I have about 2” of tygon tube with a plug on the top on mine because I hated all the reservoir options. I will flush the lines/fluid every other or every 3rd oil change.
Yeah think of it as a radiator for intake air temps. It’s a second cooling system independent of the bikes engine coolant but will be a second radiator infront of the original one that runs coolant through the intake manifold before the air goes into the throttle bodies. Compressing air creates...
