Can't Bust The Axle Loose on My '06

I've lived in the Mitten a time or two  Anyway, it was just a bit of rust. Broke it loose with the cheater bar and some choice commentary.

Can't Bust The Axle Loose on My '06

Yes, 24mm hex into the axle. I have a 3ft breaker bar, but it just seems like it shouldn't be that tight. I guess it must have corroded a bit after all this time...

Can't Bust The Axle Loose on My '06

The front tire on my '06 is in desperate need of being replaced (factory original!), so I'm finally getting around to it. Problem is, the front axle seems to be seized pretty solid. Yes, I've loosened the pinch bolts on the right side and kept the left side tight. I've also been spraying Liquid...

Who Wants to go to Germany?

How long are you stationed there? I'm guessing Rammstein? I might be able to get over there with my bike next season.

Who Wants to go to Germany?

I have one who's interested as well. I've always toyed with the idea of shipping my bike to Europe to tour around for a few weeks. Might be in the budget for next year, but I'm trying to figure out what the total cost is. Looks like $500+ just to get it there via sea, $1000+ with Knopf. I think...

The ECU kills the engine very briefly when it gets a shift signal. Lets you change gears without clutching.

    Texas Mile Results...

That's how I understand it, yes. I weigh ~190. The headwind was <5mph. The day before it was alot worse, and I was maxed out at 173. The stock gearing probably would have helped get a couple more mph out, but I brought 15 more ponies over my street tune thinking I would at least be in the...

Where are you located? They're getting more and more common, actually.

It's easier to get faster and more consistent with shifters. I just like leaving more up to me to do it right.

Yeah, but I'd like to avoid it. I prefer a bit of a challenge.

    Texas Mile Results...

This was the 183 run, and the headwinds were <5mph. My chin was on the tank, and my knees, elbows, and heels were all pulled in. You can see it was about topped out at the top of 5th. I do like no lift shifts pulling the clutch in 1/3. Always seemed to work well at the drag strip, but might...

    Texas Mile Results...

A rather disappointing 182.9 mph. I couldn't even get into 6th gear! Anyone have any ideas what may be going on? This run was with a very slight headwind. A guy with a similar setup was running 185+ pretty consistent with granny launches, and I was running ~10mph faster than him at the half mile...

Just Got Back From the Dyno

They didn't take a tach signal. Hence why the torque numbers are wonky too. We just tossed the bike up, made the pulls, and got it back down.

Just Got Back From the Dyno

Yeah not a bad idea. I plugged those big holes in the ram air tubes, so it'll probably be getting a bit more air anyway. I'll be around Saturday. Look for the only bozos there with a horse trailer. Yep horse trailer.
