Thank you very much yellow09. Appreciate the sentiment. Chevy, do you know if the price drops with more vehicle additions? I’m not riding this summer but am not losing my insurance company made up status rule of three decades having motorcycle insurance to starting as a new rider after taking...

    Insurance in Ontario?

I finally got ONE email from hayyabusa.org about the third or fourth reply on page one today!!!!! I figured those who had insurance were keeping it close to their vests. I still have the original offer on the table stated in my opening thread. The part I left out was that I’m with or now was...

    Insurance in Ontario?

Clean record and Desjardins who bought State Farm offered me $1638.00 per year, comprehensive. $2048 full coverage. This is for a 2003 Busa!!?? Insurance companies have lost their minds! I should add that I’ve had insurance since the day I bought it in ‘03. Have four other motorcycles to insure...

    Gen 1 Rear Tire

Yes it's another tire thread. Apologies off the top. Using a Metzler M880 200/50/17. Have had two and been fairly good to me. Wear is a little quick and unpredictable but the grip has been great and handles twisties well. My problem is finding the tire in Canada and second the price. Local...

    Need recommendation for gear.

I bought what I think is now my favorite glove. Teknic Xcelerator Glove. When I first put them on I thought my hands are going to boil in these but I was really surprised at how cool they are in even 100 degree heat at speed. The palms are made of a kangaroo skin that feels like it breathes...

    UFO Undertail for 2003 busa

I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a UFO under tail kit for my 2003 silver busa. I found this thread: https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/general-bike-related-topics/151418-undertail.html In reply number 6 member 'H2447INTX' posted a beauty pic of the rear end on his bike and I'm...

    Victory vs Harley

I have 95 Heritage classic custom with a Jims Stroker, the Busa of course and a kawasaki Z750 to throw around. I've owned a few Harley bikes and never again. My 95 is for sale and that's it for Harley for me. I ordered a fb6. For those of you who don't know what that is Google it. Looks like...

    First Gear Issues......Help

It only happens in first gear once I hit 7000 rpm. All other 5 gears are fine and strong. No slipppage whatsoever throughout rpm's. I don't think the bike is worth the costs of opening the cases. I got the thing for a steal so if this is the case I may use the money for the repair towards a...

    First Gear Issues......Help

I was afraid of your post. Would a bent fork make it skip out of gear?(it does not skip out of gear but I was told it would or should with a bent fork) Would I feel something in the shifter? Yes. I am grasping at straws. The last thing I want is a bent fork and what comes with that.

Is there anything specific I should be looking for in the clutch? I didn't change the basket as it seemed ok but I'm no mechanic and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

    First Gear Issues......Help

The bike is definitely snaky at that point. For arguments sake tho, lets say I shift down at 7,500 rpm the bike operates normally by slowing itself down but, if I was to twist the throttle at say 6,000 rpm soon as it reaches 7,000 rpm the drive gives out and the bike revs up like the clutch is...

    First Gear Issues......Help

I have a 2003 Busa with 22,000 miles and my first gear is doing some strange things. At 7,000 rpm its LIKE the clutch is pulled in and all drive stops. It will rev as high as I let it with no drive. If i leave the bike in first and the rpm's drop below 7,000 'drive' returns. I normally shift...
