Thanks guys, i will double check fuse size. I'm sure you're right. Will also double check the 11 volts. IF i remember correctly, i was getting 11 volts with key off (i would have expected none?), then full batt voltage of 12.8 with key on. I was a little sleepy at the time, so will recheck...

Yes, so far new fuel pump fuse has solved engine issue. Starts and runs fine now. Now back to shift issue. Hope i just installed something wrong. Love some pics BH. Unfortunately, with engine running still stuck in neutral. Won't shift up or down. So sleep deprived at this point no telling...

So far, so good. New fuse still holding. Maybe just that simple. Thanks all!

Well that was it. Replaced fuse and fired right up. Didn't let it run long. Gotta investigate why it blew. Maybe related to high flow pump, but wouldn't think it would draw that much more amps. Also, with fuse out, i measured 11 volts across the fuse terminals with key off.. would have expected...

Ok, might have found problem.. 10A fuel pump fuse blown. I will replace to see what happens, but of course now need to determine what caused it to blow. I did replace the stock pump with an AEM pump, wonder if that has something to do with it? Going to try fuse replacement...

Wow, I'll be excited if that's all it is. Guess I'm just comparing to my cruiser which will allow you to shift through all gears while not running. Guess my next step is to button up the shift cover and get the engine fired up. See what happens.

I haven't riden it yet. Just got engine reinstalled. Ready to fire it up, but noticed the shift problem when i rolled it off the lift. Want to get this resolved before i try to start it. It has been sitting for years, but it shifted fine when i parked it years ago due to burnt valve and piston.
