So I'm in the process of piecing my bike back together and I ran into a problem. I put my new front wheel on and when I put the triple tree what seemed straight the front wheel was cocked a bit. The forks appear straight and I never even thought that they might be bent. Is there something else...
Theres a guy on ebay selling an aftermarket plastics set that has this tail section I have never seen before. It has vents on it next the the taillight and the cowl has been reworked with new lines and vents also. Anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find just the tail section?
Go with the TL pegs. I'm 6'3" and these pegs along with Heli Bars make all the difference in the world.
Any year will work - I ordered year 2000. Be sure to get the spacers.
I say there is an end to the mods. Seriously.
This is what I do when I get a new bike: I take a few pics of my new baby and keep 'em handy. Then I research what's available from the aftermarket. I put a bunch of miles on the bike and keep studying the pics. THEN I decide where the bike is...
Just remember to set aside a whole afternoon to do the job. It won't take that long, but if you feel rushed, you'll screw it up.
And use a Dremel.
And making tape.
And a marker.
