    Head stud stretch

What's an expansion screw:) I'm running 1.7 bar on some engines, maybe 12mm are the answer. But like I say Aluminium expands 3 times faster than steel per deg. so something has to give. The cylinders will expand around 0.2mm from 0-80 deg C, the stud will expand 0.06mm so it has to stretch, if...

    Head stud stretch

Sorry you're wrong! Studs have elasticity to maintain clamping pressure from cold to hot and reverse. The coefficient of expansion of aluminium is 3 times that of steel. Its nothing to do with Yield strength, that's a totally different subject. These studs have always been torques to spec into...

    Head stud stretch

This issue has arisen a few times over the years. I've used aftermarket head studs and nuts over the years on Busa's. I have noticed that the nuts are never as tight on a strip down as when first installed. Some rebuilds have been because of head gasket failure. Head studs have to have...

    Awesome looking Supercharged Gen3

I have another gen 3 supercharged busa near completion and it will be fitted with the Maxx ecu. Greg will help me on my way with this. The accuracy of the mapping will be better but I doubt I will see any big gains over the Woolich.

    Awesome looking Supercharged Gen3

You won't see them as they cost a lot of money to design and develop. Obviously the guy who owns this bike likes them as does the new customer who came on board yesterday, as do the customers buying the Superbusa's (they have the option).

    Awesome looking Supercharged Gen3

We did a poll on the winglets and we had 65% for and about 30% against and a few on the fence. We like them, the bike is stable with them on and the aero dynamist who designed them has a F1 background. I just sold the last set of our first batch today, along with the same build as this one. So...

    Awesome looking Supercharged Gen3

We have just finished building this awesome bike for a Dutch customer. What do you think? We have played around with cams and cam timing and made some big gains. Bike came in with Brock exhaust which is obviously working well.

Rotrex Busa Dragbike , TTS C38 low boost setup ...

Once you have done your mods over winter I think you could run 7's using more or the power you have and more revs. You have a very conservative set up. Just shows how far way my set up is :).

    SUPERBUSA goes over 200mph

The Brock stainless systems are super light and very thin. The Akrapovic is a thicker gauge and has stronger header springs. I would still like to build a pipe more suited to my superchargers. It will have sometime in the not to distant future. The Brock gave me more peak power, the Akra more...

    SUPERBUSA goes over 200mph

I built supercharger kit for the street. As much as I love going fast and dragracing. If you run it on E85 with say a 1500cc ish motor I can see 450 plus whp but you would need all that to go 230+mph. It takes a lot of power at these speeds. My Superbusa can hit 205 on a standing 1/2 mile in...

    SUPERBUSA goes over 200mph

Actually power tuning with a supercharger is far easier than NA and infinitely easier than a Turbo. The time is needed in limiting the power in the lower gears to get the best drive. Of course this is an infinite variable because it depends on rider weight, position, wheel base, ground...

    SUPERBUSA goes over 200mph

The problem was Chris had never ridden the bike in anger before. Trying to ride it like his stock busa, putting all the weight over the front and loads of revs was totally the wrong thing to do. People criticised me in the previous video against the S Plaid and Agera for sitting back and not...
