The XDA rules clearly state that you can use gen2 camshafts in gen3. Broock's also said that they get their camshafts from Suzuki... They use gen3 timings with gen2 camshafts. I don’t know why, maybe the engine works better this way, maybe they agreed with the XDA that way.

Gen3 Suzuki Hayabusas are permitted to backdate their Camshafts to Factory Homologated Gen2 Hayabusa Camshafts.

Gen3 makes about 5hp. more power than gen2. And this is on the standard ECU. I'm not sure if even the AFR was tuned after replacing the exhaust system.
