TwoBorthers thread almost sounds like the entire internal portion (white tube and all) lift out at this point, but seems I'm missing some step there

Got a leaky seal so taking care of the issue and have a couple questions. I've been watching Youtube videos and also following the threads here (very informative, and very opposite methods, LoL). My issue is the videos show to hold the nut on top of the inner rod then loosen the cap on top...
They have the variable temp plastic soldering iron with different types of plastic rods. Seems this might be an idea. I've played with some of the rods and had success with the PVC type, but haven't trusted it enough yet to try on something like a good fairing. A couple of the other (non PVC)...

Well, guess I never told you guys why I was looking for this commercial and why I felt the need to bring up an old thread.
My brother and I used to be in a quite a number of commercials as we grew up...TV, bill boards, newspaper, etc.
I know we were both on the cover of a magazine together...
Got to looking for this old commercial again, 3.5 years later and this thread come up in Google, LoL
