    won't start, battery?

You guys are awesome! Every year I ask a stupid question and it always gets answered. I went to a Suzuki dealer and bought a Yuasa YT12A-BS, installed it and it started right up! Thanks again everyone

    won't start, battery?

The battery is 3 years old. It's a Xtreme Permaseal High Performance AGM Motorcycle Battery XTAZ14S from Batteries Plus. What would the auto parts store test other than what I tested with the voltmeter? Would you say this is most likely the problem?

    won't start, battery?

I took my bike off the charger and tried to start it for the first time this year. When I press the ignition button, it tries to turn over once but stops and all of the lights in the dash turn off until I let go of the button. The battery connections look okay and I put a volt meter on it and...

    stripped oil drain plug

Thanks everyone for your help on this! I got it fixed by using an over sized drain plug made by Motormite. I bought it at Advanced Auto Parts, the part number is either 65209. After you thread the plug it widens the threads in the pan. You never take it out after that, there is another...

    stripped oil drain plug

Sounds good, but I don't think I'm quite ready to be replacing oil pans myself yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to screw a drain plug back without stripping it :banghead: :) I'm going to borrow a torque wrench for when I do this next time for sure, thanks for the tip. I actually...

    stripped oil drain plug

Thanks for all of the fast replies everyone! Do you know which Heli Coil kit I have to buy? Now I don't feel as bad that I screwed this up :)

    stripped oil drain plug

I was changing my oil on my 2002 'Busa and somehow I stripped the inside of where the oil drain plug screws into. It doesn't tighten up enough and now there is a slow leak. What can I do here, just replace the part the plug screws into? If so, does anyone know which part that is called and...

    Headlight replacement with pics

Excellent instructions Omslaw!! I tried doing it the quick way first by taking off the cowling above the fender but it was too hard to figure when you've never done it before. I then followed your instructions afterwards and everything went smooth! Thanks again. Now that I've done it...

looking for new tires!! which ones??

I'm looking for a set of new all around tires as well and was going to post the same question. I guess I'll go with the BT016's, they seem popular. Where can I get a good price on them?

    music while riding

Does anyone have a good set up for listening to music while riding? I've tried my MP3 player with the earbuds under my helmet but they start to come out after a few minutes. Maybe I just need a new pair of earbuds that won't fall out with a helmet on. Does anyone recommend a specific pair of...

    replacing the thermostat

I know next to nothing about any of this but it was explained to me that your fan will not kick on if the thermo is bad. I saw it first hand. This probably goes without saying but I didn't think of it....make sure that both your overflow and radiator are filled with anti-freeze or else the fan...

    leaking anti-freeze

Last night I replaced the thermostat and now all is well! Schism, thanks a lot for your help! Its much appreciated!

    replacing the thermostat

I actually fixed it last night and was going to reply back today. Replacing the thermostat did the trick. Remember to also fill the radiator to the top as well as the overflow or else the fan won't turn on and it will still overheat. Thanks for your help everyone!

    replacing the thermostat

I've ordered a new thermostat since I hear its fairly easy to replace. It was suggested in the other thread I posted above to start with that. We'll see if that fixes it, hopefully that will be it.
