Yes, I suck...another HID help question. Low shuts off upon start up

Thanks for the tip!!! It worked. On my commute home, prior to firing it up, I turned the ignition ON for approximately 10 secs or so, than fired it up and the light stayed on. So I'm assuming the delay prior to hitting the starter is allowing enough time for the electrical system fully charge...

Yes, I suck...another HID help question. Low shuts off upon start up

I'll swap them when I get home and see what the results are. Also, I just saw the Pinned thread about installing a relay timer, perhaps that will help the cause. And FWIW...my experience with DDM has been good, I ordered and was delivered with a couple of weeks...direct shipped from...

Yes, I suck...another HID help question. Low shuts off upon start up

So I got me a set of DDM Tuning HID's, both 35K versions, for Hi/Lo. They both light-up fine when the bike is not running, but when I start the bike up, the Lo goes out. Sometimes it will light up if I kill the bike and start it back up, sometimes it doesn't. Hi works fine. Installation...

Graduation Trip to Alaska on the Busa

Alaska will always be there. Do it when you are ready. Good ol' USA has so much too offer and see, start at home first. Good luck and hope you venture out. It will change your perspective in life, and for the better.

Lorenzo Woulda Won on a Busa!

I'm pretty sure he was referencing that he would have won even with a boat-anchor of a bike like a Busa (in-terms of weight and handling) compared to a MotoGP bike. While I respect Edwards comment, Lorenzo's championship is still tainted with Dani and Vale being out with injuries. But Lorenzo...

    Ignition Fuse Keeps Blowing?

Definitely look there 1st. I bet one of the insulation wrappings is not doing it's job and allowing hot wires to touch or arc. Go through and make sure everything is insulated well. when in doubt, double wrap it. This scenario has happened to me before.

    Ignition Fuse Keeps Blowing?

Electrical gremlins can be a real SOB to figure out, been through a few in my lifetime. Well, if you never have spliced into the wiring harness for anything (upgrades, add-on's, etc) start checking relays, one of them could be sticky or gone bad on you (happened to me before). I would start...

    Busa for Ducati?

I still regret selling my 999. Duc superbikes are torture devices for the ass and lower back and a PIA to ride in stop/go traffic, but what a looker and performer....plus, the noise it makes is so sweet. If you don't like to draw alot of wanted/unwanted attention.....then definitely do not get...

Anyone here that's 5'5" that rides a busa?

5'6'', 29" in-seam. Ride mine stock form, no issues. I'm not flat-footin both sides at the same time, but not tippy-toe it either. Never dropped, not even close....uneven, even, smooth, rough, rocky, slick, etc surfaces. I've ridden TONS of bikes in my life....the only one that really made...

    Should I Sacrafice the M109 ?

Bosshound- I'm sure they already let you test ride one by now...so you know whats it like. Amazing bike with many features....BMW did hit right out of the park on their first swing. But try to use it as a much as you can when you first get it, I know they have had some transmission issues...

    Really Happy With The Busa

A 999 Duc has always been one of my favorite bikes of all time. 1098/1198 is right up there. And that unmistakable dry-clutch and v-twin sound....awesome!!!! The only issue with Duc's are, they are torture on wheels. I think for most mortals, anything north of a 200 mile day, on any Duc...

Yeah, the '11 Busa options are oh-hum, but....

I know alot of us are kinda disappointed with the '11 color options and lack of any major revisions...but momma Zook is real sick. 2011: Suzuki doesn't bother - Hell For Leather I don't see a major revision coming to the Busa or Gixxer line-up for a couple years unfortunately.

    Belt Drive For Busa

Really cool concept but.... I think the Busa's torque and HP is too great for a belt drive system to serve as a long lasting and reliable drive system. Might be ok if you put a rev limiter of like 6K and short shifted like a mofo.
