The only reason I can think of is ease of use. You Have the flash the ECU every time. It takes 5 minute. That's lots of dyno time wasted between pulls. The PCV is instant, no flash.
I second this, it's what I use and its saved me several times. More than paid for itself at this point. I have it setup with fixed mount on the bike that allows me to move it back and forth as well.
