    Finding the confidence...

I would recommend taking some riding schools from say, California Superbike school or other reputable programs. I agree that track days makes sense but once you have a firm foundation in the basics, you can use trackdays to practice those skills, that way you are reinforcing good habits. Good...

To keep or not to keep.

Fellows, don't post up very often. But, would appreciate any feedback. I've had my Busa for 3 years now, 15k miles. Have taken Level 3 at Calif Superbike school and have participated in 2 track days and ride the canyons every chance I get. Needless, to say, I like the twisties and riding on the...

    Anyone using a Corbin Seat?

I also have a Corbin seat, @ 14k mi. Like previously mentioned hard at first, but then molds to your back side. As far as hanging off the seat is concerned, I find the side ridge a useful marker as to getting my butt off the side when at the track.

    My first track day yesterday.

As mentioned above the Busa is not a track bike. However, you can work to minimize it's limitations and maximize your skill. These bikes are so much more capable than most riders. So, take it easy, take your time and enjoy yourself. And remember to ride your own ride.

    Smogged, detuned 08's?

Just spoke to a sales rep at the local Suzuki dealer in Santa Rosa, CA. Asked him about the 08 Busa, the only thing he tell's me is that it will be detuned, smogged, or have a catalytic converter for ALL bikes sold in Calif. Has anybody heard about this? Supposedly more stringent pollution...

I could have used frame sliders today

New to No Ca, I dropped mine making a U turn on a hill at slow speed, Didn't apply enough counterweight to the right peg and throttle as I was turning left and I stalled it. Boy, what a helpless feeling when gravity takes over and she drops. I feel for you, but it could've been worse.
