It is always recommended that if you are changing your sprockets that you should change your chain as well. To answer the question, would normally be no, but if your current chain is old, worn and stretched, it might just fit. The rear tire would be in closer.

You have to utilize the master link that is designed for that particular chain. You do not want to use an EK master link with a zzz chain.

What I have noticed is that even with the battery, you still need to have the bike turned on. This only needs to be on for a couple of seconds. Once you send the map, you can shut it off.

This is a good point, I guess this is why he wants to change the chain tomorrow. I will be heading back to him tomorrow and will let you guys know what happens.
