Top speed in each gear on a busa?

The Gen 1 numbers Josh posted are pretty close. My stock gearing setup with fresh tires at 38 psi runs 127.01 in 3rd according to the lights at Royal Purple. I couldn't decide whether to grab on more gear and the limiter caught it right at the traps. Next time, I will shift. ;) That will...

how accurate is the gen 1 speedometer.

It's an electronic device to allow you to adjust the indicated speed. Personally speaking, mine reading about 10% fast keeps me closer to staying under the radar. There's a bunch of 45 MPH zones locally that are easily 65 MPH zones and it feels like you are stopped riding them at either...

    want to laugh?

That's would be worth buying just to get the laughs with at the track. Not to mention, no one would pit within 150 yards of you.

Who knows stopping distance from 150 mph?

Even loaded completely up, it's still got rebound to work with. In a full on shut it down type stop, you are putting all the weight on the front tire. The guys that are good at it can even make a show out of it. There's plenty of fails on YouTube though :) It would sure make for an...

Who knows stopping distance from 150 mph?

The chart at the link is interesting (well, to me anyways). To scrub off 40 MPH from 40 to 0 takes 105 feet. The 140 MPH stopping distance is 974 feet. The 100 MPH stopping distance is 522 feet. So, taking the difference in speed (40 MPH), scrubbing off 40 MPH from 140 MPH to 100 MPH...

Who knows stopping distance from 150 mph?

It's got enough jugs to make two great bikes, plus a Harley ;) When he asked for head bolts for his BD, I knew he was serious about the 170 club. Stopping from 150 is still stopping, Dodge, Suzuki, or anything else moving that fast. Deferring to the experts, it appears a perfect 150 MPH...

Who knows stopping distance from 150 mph?

I am still reading this thread interested as a full load capacity rider. Everyone talks about how weight slows you down getting up to speed, but little is said about the same thing on the other end of the track. My kid turned a 158 in his truck at Texas last time, and got distracted coming...

Who knows stopping distance from 150 mph?

Funny we were both doing the same math on that number. I was trying to figure out how many seconds you have at 150 MPH past the finish line at Chase Field you have until the end of the runway. Works out to about 13 seconds or so if the FAA information about it being 8000' long is correct...

What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

the number of +++ is the number of wires under that terminal. I counted them before I took them loose. The other side of Minus is ---- with the same idea. Wiring isn't my strong point, so I have to be careful and use a system. I didn't think the ---- stood out enough so that's why I used...

What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

It's been raining here (very much needed), so I replaced the battery and cleaned up some electrical stuff the "pros" left half done. I read enough here to know to keep Gen1 batteries fresh and avoid other issues. When we get a little break in the weather, a quick ride after work is in order...

Hope you don't kill yourself on that thing!

It's not yourself you have to worry about. It's the other idiots. From our ride last Sunday morning. driver - YouTube[/url]

Why would anyone buy a scooter?

Oh man, does that bring back memories. We lived down the street from the municipal court judge and would get ours wound up and kill them and coast home as we went by so he wouldn't hear us. That worked great until the day he was actually standing out there and saw us go by, very quietly of...

    Idle Adjustment Mod (pictures)

Thanks for the write up. It took a while to find this but was worth it. I want to be able to turn mine up a bit at the track and this should make it easy. I have always wondered what the hole in the frame was for too.

    My home track sucks

If the LCD for my PC V gets here on time, we will be back out on the 27th. Last time, they started running at 6:15 and were still running when we left after 10. The evening sea breeze helps with keeping the temps down.
