If it runs well for a while, then bogs, check the screen on the input side of the fuel pump for rust. My gen 1 would do this, collect rust as I rode, clogging the filter. Shut it off, and all the rust would drop, running fine, for a while.

One more vote for Angel GTs, I get 15,000 km out of them easy, can't say there are any drawbacks to them.

This sounds like what my first busa was doing, it was a pile of rust collecting on the screen at the pump. It would run great, rust would start to collect, then low on power. Shut it off a couple seconds, the rust would drop, and it would fire up and run great. Then the process of the rust...

It's common for the fuel filter to cause the high rpm stumble. Can replace or do the fuel filter bypass mod. Should be able to find it on this site.
