How is the Busa in the Twisties?

First off, with a good aftermarket seat the butt pain can pretty much be eliminated with the busa. I went with a Corbin and can literally ride all day without my butt hurting - my hands and arms are another story. Seems the only way to go here is for you to buy the busa and hang on to the K5...

    TRE installed.......  question

My tre smoothed out the initial cracking of the throttle as well as the release of the throttle in gears 1-4.   That's what it's supposed to do. I don't know what you mean about twitchiness, that part doen't make sense. Once the throttle is open, any sputtering needs to be addressed by the fuel...

pregnancy = get rid of your favorite toy??

Go get some more life insurance, $500,000 - $1,000,000. If you die in an accident it's usually doubled. However, if you get mamed, than you're wife is really screwed, no life insurance and she get's to take care of your drueling a$$ for the rest of her life. So, just as important, go get some...

    Saddle bags?

Which bag did you go with? the Areo Spada (44 liters) or the Rally Pack (55 liters)  The Areo Spada looks cooler by far but I'm worried I might need the extra space to do a weekend trip riding 2 up with my girl friend. <!--EDIT|MeltDownZ Reason for Edit: "Non ya biz ness!"|1123855360 -->

    Saddle bags?

No problems in 1 1/2 years of doing it.  I'm actually using the bungiees that came and are attached to the bag. Sometimes you've got to be careful not to have the bungees interfere with the closing mechanisms. If you do, you'll have a hard time locking down the seat. Once you figure out about...

    Saddle bags?

I've got some Tour Master items.  There very nice but the storage is not great.  If I were going to be taking weekend trips, I'd look into those Ventura packs that seem to hold a lot more. <!--EDIT|MeltDownZ Reason for Edit: None given...|1123791048 -->

    Making a back rest. . .

One suggestion... spend the freakin' $500 and get a backrest that won't fug up.  The last thing you need is to have someone falling off the back because you rigged a back rest.  The grab bar seemed to be a very hard plastic when I got mine chromed. By the way, here are some pics of it with some...

    TRE's

I'm not sure about the other 2, the ATRE and the one from EKG. But, I wouldn't kill yourself researching the features of them because the TRE's function is pretty darn simple. Using a simple resistor, it intercepts the gear indicator and passes on to the computer that it's always in 5th gear. So...

    Full Coverage or not..

Fully covered for about $500/yr. Not being able to afford the insurance might be an indicator that you should probably pick a less expensive hobby.

    TRE's

Ivan's Smart TRE won't mess with your idle. I've had one for a while and it does exactly what it's supposed to do... smooth's out the low end roll-ons. Simple install. Very noticable improvement.
