Pair Valve / Ecu Editor Question

Lol you probably did. I concur. People need block off plates or a plug in the line somehow. Some use marble mod. I used a plastic cap that I found that fits perfectly around the nipple and inside the hose so I can still use the clamp on the hose.

Pair Valve / Ecu Editor Question

Leaving the PAIR unblocked even after turning off on ECU editor threw off my A/F readings too (through a WEGO). Fyi.

Tips On Getting Clutch Main Push Rod In? Pics.

Just needed to ride it around the block and it's all good. (for future people)

    99' Model

Sounds like fuel to me too, although the Gen I's had stator/charging problems also. Make sure you keep it on a battery tender ANYTIME you can, and especially overnight. On my 99, I replaced the pump altogether with a stronger, better aftermarket one and aftermarket FPR. The Walbro 255lph pump...

Tips On Getting Clutch Main Push Rod In? Pics.

This worked, so thanks. But now the clutch won't fully engage. Maybe it's the stud sizes? One set are longer (Gen II? I don't remember). Or something else? Maybe I need stiffer springs now?

Tips On Getting Clutch Main Push Rod In? Pics.

Thanks, I will try that. Would taking off the clutch reservoir cover off help take pressure off and allow it to push back?

Tips On Getting Clutch Main Push Rod In? Pics.

I installed a welded clutch mod. I think that because the main clutch push rod won't go all the way in, the "clutch push piece" won't go in all the way flush (pic 2). Then the clutch hub pushes against the cover and won't engage the clutch when the whole thing is back together because it's an...

    Jerking During Acceleration

Could be electrical. The Gen I charging system has a lot of issues. Might look at battery or stator. I know my bike jerked a lot when I had electrical issues.

    I Was Reaaaalllllyy Stupid

I bet someone would buy it, as is, for a couple/few grand. Some guys that could swap the internals and sell it, or use it as a perfect racebike platform (they're gonna swap the internals anyway). I think you'd lose too much swapping a good motor in, especially if you won't be doing it yourself...

    Favorite Mod?

ECU flashing interface and ECU editor software. Having the editing/flashing capabilities has been a blast. A close second is the Brock's short meg. (even over the dry nitrous kit)

    Heavy Duty Springs

I can think of no reason to do this if you're not drag racing. It will only potentially cause problems, for absolutely no benefit because you're not racing. (e.g., there are a few other things you should do with HD springs, like a clutch slave support or your clutch slave will eventually leak...

    Rough Idle

AFS. Air (filter), fuel, spark (plugs). Replace all with fresh and your problem should be fixed. If not, the next step is a clogged fuel line/filter, clogged injectors, etc., but I doubt this is the case.

    Insurance

I use Progressive through USAA and it's around $240/6mo (liability only). Looks like you have some stuff in your history and/or are under 25yrs old?
