    Clutch pushrod seal leak

Well if you are talking about the same seal then it's gonna cost you a few bucks. The seal sits where the cases split horizontally and that is the only way to do it. If you are handy it would be a good winter project!

Our latest trip, the Blue Ridge Parkway

I just did a similar trip and totally agree about Gatlinburg. That place blows! We ran from Boston and started on Skyline Drive then the Parkway. Gatlinburg was on our way to Deals Gap which was great but surrounded by really great riding.

    Front Caliper Issues

Yeah the vacuum pump will help you fill the line. Pump and hold will take forever with an empty system. On my bike I vacuum bled to fill it the did the gentle pump on the lever to get the little bubbles out. It can sometimes be tricky. You gotta think like an air bubble trapped in the line!

Anyone make a rack that goes over the seat?

Yeah well I got nothing! I have spent a lot of time getting my bike sorted and comfortable. I am very happy with how this goes down the road. My trip is fast approaching so I ran out of time. I am running Cortech saddle and seat bags with my bedroll on top of everything. Also a small tankbag...

Trout thanks for the detailed pics - that is a real nice setup. Let's see if I can build one before August!

    Accident analysis and PSA

Good on you EZ for studying your wreck and what caused it - it's the only way to prevent it going forward. I have owned sport bikes for years and the Busa presents a number of challenges, not the least of which is harnessing all the power. Throttle response is so immediate it requires...

    Front Wheel Removal 07

On my zx6r I used the back side of a spark plug socket as it was hex shaped. Dunno if you could do that in the future. My 99 busa has a regular nut.

    Still getting respect: Hayabusa!

Busa's go 248 now!? Sort of a sensational pitch but it is cool to see it in there. I agree that it is one deadly ***** in the wrong hands.

    Clutch pushrod seal leak

Look close at the area behind the water pump also. Mine was leaking from there - I looked close at me pushrod seal and it is fine. I replaced the oil seal but it still leaks - I may have to goop it and retry.

    Drain hose junk

Opened it up tonight - had about a teaspoon of yellowish oil/water mix.

    Small oil leak

OK you got me paranoid so I looked again. This thread has pics of the water pump o ring that I am talking about. https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/general-bike-related-topics/106032-mystery-oil-leak-3.html I think the seal that requires case splitting is the one that surrounds the clutch...

    Small oil leak

I googled around a bit - I think the seal you are talking about is the front sprocket countershaft - you have to split the cases to get it replaced. Mine was dripping from the bottom of the water pump and seemed to also run down onto a couple oilpan bolts. This is a separate deal - there is an...

    Busa handlebar question

I just put on some Helibars and they are awesome. I am 5'9" and the reach is a little tough for me. This helped.
