This sounds like a plan if I can find a shop around here to do it. Where exactly do I get in on the group buy for the chain?
Any issues with going up three in the back? I'm not worried about speedo calibration because I run a GPS. I usually run curvy roads so I'd just like to have a little more...
So, go with a stock (suzuki?) sprocket on the front and then order an aftermarket (three teeth up) JT steel sprocket on the back correct? RK brand "ZVX" chain on the back with 120 links cut to size. This is what I need to order when I call on Friday right?
Problem is, if I buy it I'm going to have to mount it and I don't have the tools or the know how. The shope will not mount another companies chain for me or I'd go that route. I bought from S and T a long time ago back when he first opened and pushed him hard to others. He's good people.
I'm calling the shop on Friday morning to order my chain and sprockets. I'm wanting to go up three teeth from stock on the back (should equate to 1.5 on the front I believe).
My biggest issue right now is which chain and which sprockets. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg but I want them to...
Ok, sorry so long. Bike was taken to shop when I found what was wrong. Two ground wires melted down into the wire harness and fried their connector under the tank. I thought it was going to be a $1,000 fix with the cost of labor and wire harness. However, the mechanic fixed it for $142 and did a...
Did that a couple of weeks ago.
I was gone all day today so I couldn't get vid of the bike. I'm off Friday thru Sunday so I'll try to get it one of those three days.
Asking me if I have a camera is like asking me if I can shoot a gun. LoL
What do you need/want pics of? I can take video with sound if you like as well.
Let me know what you need and I'll hook it up.
Sorry, I was off getting pepper sprayed. Ughh..
Ok, tomorrow I'm going to see if I can get out in the garage and check a few more things. I have a bad feeling that with limited resources and equipment, I'm going to be at the mercy of a mechanic.
It no longer says FI.
The wire for the GPS has been removed.
Pump still won't prime (so I assume its not pumping period).
What connector are you talking about?
No. I don't.
As for the fuses. Why would the fuses/solenoids/etc go bad when the wire that was short circuiting is hardwired to the battery and not off of a fuse?
Did a visual inspection. Can't see anything wrong.
However, the wire in question is hard wired to the battery so I'm not sure if it would of had any effect on the fuse box.
Ok, here is the deal. Went and had a new front tire mounted on Saturday. Was on my way home racing a storm.
I have a rough mount accessory plug for my GPS. In my haste to wire this up, I did not mount an inline fuse.
While I was getting the tire mounted, I put a new air filter in. When I put...
