I own an '05 blue and white Gixxer 1K as a complement to my 'Busa and let me say this.. the gixxer corners like it's on rails!! It's lighter, more flickable, and I love it.. Sure, I still love my 'Busa, but it's a different bike, and I don't intend to get rid of it.

Stick with OEM. It's designed for your bike. IMO, changing to aftermarket is a bad idea.

I got mine at parts411. Because I'm a pack-rat and keep everything, I just looked up my order. The item number was 428-5007-LP; they're the CF ones for the 99-03 (probably fit 04 and 05 too) . The picture then, and it appears now, is incorrect... they do show the swingarm sliders but...

Krieg: I have the LP sliders up front. I don't have the swingarm sliders but I think you have to remove them to put your spools on so you can get it up on the stand.

I think you're asking if anyone has tried a 180 on the rear... if so, yes, i have tried it, still run with them and have no desire to go back to a 190.. I find the bike tips into the corners a lot easier.
