Hello folks after 108K miles my bird has developed major issues and went to the shop (rebuild). Anyway one of the issues is a bad fork tube, it keeps leaking for some reason. What are the options for this problem? Are there rebuild kits? Just buy one from ebay?

Finally got off my butt and decided to crack this bird open. I took out the 4 bolts but that cover won't come off. Do I have to take that whole area apart??

Exactly that! I've never bothered to clean that area. :laugh:

Now that I've looked at it from every angle I don't think it's the drain plug. Looks more like it's coming from the front sprocket area as seen in this pic.. I've never taken that cover off but since there's been some noise in that area it I can see how a leak would start there. If I do take...

Looks like I've got a leak. The bolt is tight but it's definitely leaking.

I think the pressure was about 38 - 40 but I lost my digital pressure gauge and got lazy with the checking. :D

Who knew you could use them?? I've been spending $25 bucks on motorcycle H7's and I could have just gone to eBay and got them for $9! Doh! :banghead:
