    Side Cowel Removal

I like it. I have an 05 that is blue and sliver. I'd like to replace the silver, and you've given me some ideas. What kind of radar detector is that? Floyd

Does 24.7 mpg sound right for slow traffic riding?

I never checked the mileage before. The bike runs great, but when I really open it up you can almost watch the gas gauge drop. Same for you guys? Floyd

    ***WARNING*** Harley Davidson Financial Services

There are a lot of companies that pull this crap. It's their error, but try and get the record set straight.

    fuel filter opened

And we pay $3.75 a gallon for gas that does this?

Article: I finally hit 100K miles

Congrats! I don't have anywhere near those miles, but I think my Busa is one of the most dependable machines I've ever owned. You must feel that way. Floyd

What is the difference between brake and rear wheel horsepower?

The term brake horsepower makes no sense to me. So, what does it refer to? I've also heard the definition that torque is the amount of work that can be done, and horsepower is how fast it can be done. Is that correct? Floyd

Is the peg on the foot shifted pressed or screwed in?

As you can see from the pictures mine is not welded on anymore. RMac Shop ground the old welded one off and replaced it with the aluminum ribbed one which is bolted on from the rear side with a flush hex head bolt. Pretty nice job I think. The peg is 3/4" longer than the original to accommodate...

Is the peg on the foot shifted pressed or screwed in?

Here are a couple of pics that a commercial shop did with the shift peg. Really neat work I thought. I wish I had known these guys when I had the lever extended 1.5 inches.

I need some help replacing the stock rod on the foot shift--05 Busa

The problem is solved. I know how the adjustment works. It turns out that to fit my foot, the threads were about two threads into each socket. I had another rod made that is about 3/8" longer, and the rod fits well into the middle of the two sockets now. It's a nicer looking rod to boot. Floyd

I need some help replacing the stock rod on the foot shift--05 Busa

I've had the foot shift extended by 1.5". To get the pedal down to where I like it, the rod was hanging on by about two threads on each side. I had a shop make me another that is nicer looking and larger in diameter (except for the threads) for $25. I've got it adjusted perfectly and there is...

I could screw up an anvil

Tubing retrieved, it was against the wall of the clutch housing I pulled the clutch housing off, and there it was. If you look at the pic, you can see where it had snagged, and then it tore apart when I pulled hard enough. The other end is square because I cut it with a scissor type plastic...

I could screw up an anvil

It's not REAL steep, but when you raise the back on a stand, the rear comes up, while the front stays put. It was pretty close to level that way. There a little over a gallon of oil in it when I drained it, not including the filter. To the casual glance from the side it looked pretty level, but...

I could screw up an anvil

Yep, I think I will get some help with that. I don't expect to find anything. There is just a very slick piece of tubing, bathed in oil coiled like a spring against the outside wall of the clutch housing. I just don't like it in there.
