I'm coming up for Round 2 on the mod list and want to get some input to see if there is anything I am forgetting or should be getting. So far I have the mods listed in my sig (except XTRE I just added) and here is what I was looking to add:
1. Tobin Seats
2. Brock's Clutch Mod
3. Brock's...
Mine is doing this also now; It worked fine for the day and now is acting up("Check" is showing on gear indicator and Temp is all the way hot). All the connections are soldered and tonight I am going to try the jump plug to see if that helps. Any update on what happened with yours?
Well I have some awesome yet frustrating news! :cheerleader:
So I was going to re-install the tank completely and transport the bike up to our vacation spot for the weekend so I could work on it and as I went to put the breather hoses on the tank I noticed a loose plastic plug underneath the...
I have gone over everything I touched to install it multiple times before I started looking into it further and I didn't find anything....I thought the same thing and expected it to be something simple.
By "Tried" I mean I plugged it in at the GPS plug, spliced it into the Green/Black ECU...
The TRE is already pulled out and everything is back to 100% stock. The TRE was plug and play except for the on Green/Black wire which I soldered back together.
Yea they use an immobilizer chip from what I have heard too. I tried both keys and I'm not sure how to test to see if it's working at all. I would think I would get some power though and the bike just wouldn't actually start.....kind of like how it works with cars where they will crank but not...
Nope.....tomorrow after work I will dig in some more. I hate how it can be so many things.....right now my mind is saying it could be a: bad ground, bad relay, defective gauge cluster, or fried ECU.
What other grounds are there other than the main battery ground? I'm not seeing any in the open.... I am so frustrated with this whole sitaution and I can just see it being something dumb.
The 30amp one on the start relay? That one seems to be fine. Is there any other fusebox/panel other than the one under the left front plastic panel?
Also I've noticed a few people have been having cluster issues; Would a bad gauge cluster cause my symptoms?
