Re: 'Clunk" up front? I'll answer my own question;steering stem head nut (shaped like a star),you can use 1-1/4" socket torque'd to 65 ft/lbs,but to propely tighten the steering stem assy.,you must first remove the top crown for access to the 2 lower nuts(steering stem nut & steering stem lock...

Re: 'Clunk" up front??/Star nut? what socket? I have "clunk" too,seem to be from pads shifting in caliper housing???but I'm not sure...stem nut should be checked for proper torque,but what socket do you use for that "STAR NUT"???
