I put a Gen2 tank on a Gen1. The Gen1 seat fits fine, but it has a replacement vinyl cover. I do not think that matters. Your plan for replacing the Gen1 regulator and pump looks like it should work fine. The Gen2 pump should produce about 43 psi (296 kpa).
From what I've seen of them in 50 hp dirt bikes I would expect problems using it in a drag situation with a 180 hp streetbike. I would probably just practice with a hand clutch.
It's more popular and I'm sure sells more. Please explain why you think it is the best. When I look at a datalog I can't tell if it is a Gen2 or a Revolution. I can tell when it is a slider.
The grudge has less steels/fibers and will fit under a shorter clutch cover, possibly under a stock cover. I've never seen one.
The Revolution has removable caps to individually change the delay springs. I'm not aware that either would take less adjusting after it is set up. You would want...
Every Gen2 that I have pulled the stock exhaust bolts out of had at least two bolts bent like shown. Clearly Suzuki doesn't use very sophisticated torque monitoring during assembly of this joint. I keep a handful of these bolts on hand so I don't have to chase them when needed.
The no-preps I have run seem to work into a decent track as the day goes on. Having your chassis set up properly is a big deal. I've beaten guys with a lot more hp than me and lost to bikes with less.
It will be fine with either a full system or slip-ons and no tune. Could it be better with a full dyno tune? Sure, but so could the stock system. Even when folks get a full dyno tune, it isn't guaranteed that the tuner will actually tune the whole map. Often it is only done for full throttle...
Yeah, and another 5 quarts of oil. Funny thing is the bike had almost no oil on it and has only leaked a few ounces since the event. Of course the track was covered with oil.
