    My Hayabusa

For my 68th birthday present to myself, I traded a 1998 Kawasaki Concours with 75K for this 2001 Hayabusa with 20K! Header, 4-1 exhaust Don't know what if any other mods were made. :-/

Welcome! What size is that rear tire? It looks really small in the photo.

Best overall high speed tires for a gen 2

Avon Storm 3D-XM, great grip in all conditions, reasonable wear, reall confidence boosters on twisty roads. I get 5-7K on the rear, 8-12K front. 50 years riding, love twistys, no chicken strips on my tires. :-)

Update on the new tires…. It’s like a new bike! With the Avon’s the bike turns in easier, feels much more stable in a turn, throttle on especially, and smoother ride. My confidence level riding the Hayabusa went WAY up today!

I’m 68, just got mine a couple of months ago, loving it! Just got both knees replaced a year ago!

I traditionally have gotten 5-7K on the rear, 8-10K on the front. If I get close to that on the Hayabusa I'll be happy. The bike likes to turn MUCH...

Hello to all! New Hayabusa owner, older bike to go with older rider. :-) I'm 68 years old, been riding since 1973. I've never raced bikes, but I've been involved in amatuer road racing of cars since the 70s. Me and some friends have been running endurance races the last few years. Although I...
