    Site Geoblocked?

“...in fact Facebook and Google were sued on day one after 2 years of prep.” And does that come as any surprise at all to anyone? FB and Google basically do what the hell they want and pay a few quid afterwards. I visit many US sites, they have all managed to conform just fine, even small...

    2001 Restore

I’m really sorry for they delay, due to site being blocked in the U.K. due to new EU digital data legislation. Here she is, did 200+ miles on her on Sunday, just getting back into riding after a couple of years off the saddle. My arse hurts. :o

    Site Geoblocked?

It’s easy. I work in IT Sec and we had to sit the entire course, took us 20 mins. Between the legalese is a pretty simple concept: you make best efforts to store all personal data securely and you remember that the service user owns their personal data, not the service provider. That’s reallt...

    Site Geoblocked?

GDPR? Not exactly complicated, it just means we can’t be spammed as much any more and, if we request that someone deletes our personal data, that person is not allowed to sell it to the Russian mafia first.

    Site Geoblocked?

Can't seem to get here from Germany or UK. Tried from China and Japan, no luck, but may have been my connection. Pretty sure that UK and Germany are blocked.

    Site Geoblocked?

I have not been able to access hayabusa.org for weeks, from multiple addresses, multiple devices across the uk. Essentially a 404. Had a few mates in the U.K. try, same thing. Can get here using a US based VPN. Tell you what, I'll test from all over the world. BRB.

    Renthal Bars / Mirrors

I bought this bike about 12 years ago after I toasted my 1200 Bandit. 1999 Busa, 4/1 Micron exhaust, Renthal bars, half screen. Otherwise stock. My problem is that the brake and clutch levers hit the mirrors on full handlebar lock. I like the riding position: Bandit posture, Hayabusa power...

    2001 Restore

So I fucked it up a bit, but finally got her sorted. Now purring like a content pussycat. Basically I have learned basic motorcycle engunerring in a 1999 Hayabusa and managed to restore her back to full running condition after many years of abuse and 2 year’s standing with your help. I’ve...

    Another Overheat Mystery

Alright guys, my apologies for the late reply (unable to visit Hayabusa.org) and thanks for all your input. Bottom line in all of this is that I think my problems were a combination of just not understanding how the cooling system works and a faulty fan switch. She now lives. Have removed...

    Site Geoblocked?

Ello Anyone know if this site is now geoblocked from the U.K.? Not been able to visit Hayabusa.org for some months whilst routing from the U.K. Routing from U.K. via a US based VPN works fine from the same device.

    Another Overheat Mystery

Thanks for the idea, but being based in the U.K., postage would be prohibitive and any problems would be a nightmare to resolve. Without advertising anyone here, I do perhaps have one hope. Bought a fan off a guy in Goole through eBay, he breaks Hayabusas. First time I spoke to him, he listened...

    Another Overheat Mystery

How hot, how quickly? I’m now about 90% certain that my bike is dead, but am still groping around for any hope... The problem I have is that I can’t risk taking it too far in case it overheats and leaves me stranded, so I’ve just been testing it on tickover (advanced, 2000RPM). Standing...

    Another Overheat Mystery

Bad news. I don’t have a thermometer, so can’t take a precise reading, but I put the thermostat in a pot and began bringing to boil. It opens and closes freely. Tomorrow I will go get a thermometer and take the numbers, but things aren’t looking good here...

    Another Overheat Mystery

Thanks man. TBH that is my concern, that the head is damaged and this is going to become a money pit. I’ve got the thermostat out, going to test it tonight.

    Another Overheat Mystery

No, I’ve not removed the thermostat yet, that’s the next job. First off I’m going to perform a proper flush of the coolant system and refresh everything, then do an oil change (just for the hell of it). Then the thermostat is coming out. Think you’re right about the wiring short, going to have...
