Jinkster's "how to synch your busa"

I know this an old thread but its such a good one. I just finished my tb's and the whole time the bike ran like crap with my tubes fluctuating allot. I left the IAT in the airbox and rested it off the side of the bike. I've hooked up the other two hoses as Jinxster suggests but it's like I have...

Did Clutch Mod Now Soft Lever.

Thanks. I did take it apart and reassemble and I believe the clutch drive was not seated all the way to bottom. I'm able to put the tranni in and out of gear so I'm thinking that is the solution. Thanks for the straight up advice Powerhouse.

Did Clutch Mod Now Soft Lever.

I just installed the Schnitz clutch mod kit put it all together and now the clutch lever is soft to the bar. The only thing I can think of that I might have done wrong was putting the transmission in gear while the pressure plate was off so that I could break loose the nut. The fluid in the...

    Ontario Insurance.

Yes it's all about profits. I'd rather ride something smaller though than nothing at all. I'm going to check out a couple of companies for quotes on Busa then decide. I'm same boat as you. 55 years old clean record small town north of Toronto.

    Ontario Insurance.

I'm going to have to make a decision as to put the Busa on blocks and not ride or put the Busa on blocks and buy something smaller but fun to ride bike. I'm still waiting to see any kind of reduction in car insurance that Ottawa said was going to take place.

My Busa is Reborn...Some Assembly Required

Yeah you should have kept it Salty. I've vowed to keep my 04 no matter what I buy. Sometimes there is a bond formed that should not be broken.

One chain length for for two sprockets?

Since I'm running Yosh stage 1's and full Akro and pc3 since going to a 16t on the front i've obviously seen an increase in cruising rpm and my fuel usage is up slightly. But I want to have a bit of fun and put a 43t on the rear with my new chain but once the chain is cut and on that's it and if...

One chain length for for two sprockets?

I want to try running with a 16/43 sprocket setup on my 04 Busa for commuting but if I go on a long tour I'm thinking for fuel economy to switch back to the 17/40 sprockets. Since I have to put on a new chain anyways I'm wondering if I can have one chain length?

Good cheap chain and sprocket kit.

Sorry to break in on this topic, but I want to +3 on my 04 rear sprocket when I replace my chain and trying to find out if I can use a gen2 rear sprocket. I've tried searching but not having any luck. Must be how I'm wording my searches.:banghead:

Stuck axle pinch bolt. Need help!!

Thanks again, the bolt is out. It was rounded out enough that I tapped in a 1/4 inch allen key, tightened down the bolt next to it to take the stress off the seized one, then applied some heat for about a minute then sprayed on some wd 40 then prayed and turned the allen key and voila it...

Stuck axle pinch bolt. Need help!!

Not as stupid as messing one up like I did. They are the four, two on each side on the front side of the fork at the very bottom which when tight clamp the the front wheel axle shaft and stop it from coming loose. Same idea as you see on the triple clamps where the fork legs go through.
