    Shirts shirts shirts

Count me in for a 2XL Long sleeve one for sure!! Where's that link??!! Hey Narcissus - don't be saying that about Paypal - it scares me (I get a lot of my pocket money, er I mean, 'Busa add-on money that way)!

    Honestly

Some of this stuff is just such great reading!! I'll tell you, I felt somewhat the same way (the wheelie issues and all), but it was obvious to me right from the start, that this bike is a bit 'porky' to be using it as a wheelie machine! Personally, I don't mind a bit - its a commuter bike...

    Luggage racks?

Sorry, no go on the GIVI stuff - I contacted them and got a flat 'no' when asking if they would even consider looking into 'Busa stuff again. Other links, in addition to what you posted: www.marseeproducts.com www.lockitt.com/OxfordProducts.htm www.rka-luggage.com www.roadgear.com...

    Luggage racks?

Hank - I've been looking into that as well. Haven't found a lot in the way of actual Luggage RACKS (been thinking about getting an extra grab rail and welding something up!!); however, there is a LOT of luggage out there that works for the 'Busa. I could email you my links if you want.

    Oil changes

How convenient this subject came up since my last visit to the site (too long ago, although only a few weeks ). I did the first oil change myself, because I don't have a dealer I can trust within 100 miles of where I live. Had my old bike in to them - they went over the 'safe' estimate by >10%...

I’ve been riding about 100 miles a day

Hank - I would have to echo the sentiment of 'you lucky dog' regarding your riding. Whilst I live in the same state, I'm lucky to get in 100 miles a week lately. Out here next to the Dakotas (you know they suck, that's why the wind BLOWS out here ) - anyway, the wind has been a bit nasty as of...

    Center stands

I JUST installed my center stand yesterday, and it is the greatest. Two words "chain maintenance". You don't have more stuff laying around the garage (ie., fork/swingarm stands), its always with you when you need it, etc. However, I don't do track days either "the tar is my track!". Mine only...

    Hayabua a sport tourer?

Just my 2 cents worth, of course , but commuting is the MAIN thing I do with my 'Busa. My round trip is about 60 miles, I go as fast as I feel like (I have found that around 75mph in 6th is just below the 'slight vibration' threshold on my particular bike), and I love it!! But then, who on this...

    Welcome from minneapolis, mn.

I'd appreciate hearing what you find out. I've been to Larson's more than once (place tends to be a zoo on Sat., though, so getting to talk with someone is kinda tough) - almost bought my 'Busa there, but got a substantially better deal in Hudson on an '01. Funny note, though - while shopping...

    Welcome from minneapolis, mn.

Hank - it almost looks like you're over by Stillwater somewhere (St. Croix in the background), or is it the Mississippi somewhere else? Know any good mechanics there? I live out in Western MN, but am not happy with any service yet (know a few I think I should avoid in the Twin Cities). Any info...

    Vtec interceptor or hayabusa

V-tec, schmee-tec! No contest (in MY opinion). Interceptor is too small (size-wise), not to mention lacking in performance. I was very gung-ho for quite a while about getting one (the VFR), until I got into the details. Reliable-yes, comfortable-yes, average 'all seem the same' Honda-yes...

    Fjr1300 road test

I'd LOVE to have one of these - as my 4th or 5th bike!!!

Wifes second ride on new bike

Way to go cetrov! I coerced (ha!) my wife into getting her cycle license (permit) also - told her I was going riding ALL the time (on my new 'Busa), so if she didn't want to stay home, she'd better get with the program! So now she's 'demo'-ing my '82 Seca Turbo, but she thinks she's the...

What do you do for a living?

'01 'Busa, Blue/Silver. Best ride on the planet (but we all know that!!). I live in the great state of Minnesota, and work for the State doing wetland restorations in the Minnesota River Valley (trying to clean up at least 0.9% of what we all trashed over the last 30-40 years!).

    Will i fit?

My 2 cents worth - I'm 6'3", 235. Bike fits great - maybe a bit of leg stiffness after a while (but maybe that goes along with being 40?!!). Got bar risers, which helped the wrists (broke right one on a dual-sport 20 yrs. ago). As far as windscreens go, yeah, the Double Bubble is better than...
