Even if I'm street riding the bike too?

It's a sidewinder. I know its recommend to use a relocator but I've measured one before and it's the same height as the oil filter, it will just be a different direction. That's why I didnt mess with it. I can move the header enough to get the filter out because its spring loaded.

I noticed my oil filter is pretty close to my exhaust header. Probably 1/16". Its not touching but seems quite close. Should I worry about burning oil in the filter with it being that close or is it fine?

Helps with tuning to get a proper air/fuel ratio as well as stops the popping noise you get on decel with a full exhaust system

Think I should put some oil or grease on the gaskets to prevent further rusting? I live in houston where the humidity is over 90% most of the time so your right extremely damp where I live

Slightly worried about later on rust falling into the valves and pitting the valve seats since the the reeds arent there to stop anything from falling in

Anything to worry about? I cleaned the plates off with brake clean and cleaned the parts as good as I could

Mine is a gen 2. Definitely discolored and seemed almost like sand. Not a large amount but enough to worry me... bike only has 4000 miles on it.

For anyone who has done pair valve block offs is there suppose to be dirt and debris on the Reed valves? Maybe it was carbon build up? My block off plates from ape required me to leave the reeds in but they were gunked up and I didnt want to try and clean it off with fear it might go into the...

How are you filling the filter up and maneuvering it through the header without spilling? I've read it's not necessary to fill filters before install

Today I changed my oil. I filled it up to the full line, started the bike and let it run for about 20 to 30 seconds, then let it sit for 5ish minutes. There was no oil in the sight glass which I didn't think such a big deal till I had to add over half a quart to get it to the full mark. Does...
