I never even though of that, I just assumed since they looked about right that I must have had them on the right sides. I will definitely check into that when I get back home. Thanks

Do you have to bend those bracket any? Or use a bunch of spacers? Mine seem to be angled in toward the tire and they need to be angled more outward.

A 16 on the front will give you pretty much the same result as a 42 on the rear. If you are gonna change only one sprocket, I would suggest changing the rear. The smaller sprocket on the front will wear your chain out slightly faster than the stock 17t. I run a 16/42 combo on mine and I love it...
