    whatever you do don't ride down...it took me 12 hours to get back from Ocean City, MD two years ago on Memorial Day. I-95 northbound was a parking lot the entire way.

    Thanks man. It's been a major pain in the arse. I definitely considered getting rid of it, but I really enjoy this bike when it's healthy. Hopefully, the curse has been lifted.

    How many Gen I's made/How many stock ones remain?

    If it were me, I would change all the fluids: brake fluid, oil, and new coolant if my bike had been sitting for two years. Also, if there is gas in the tank I would dump it or siphon it out and put fresh gas in and maybe run a little injector cleaner (from autozone) in the first couple tanks...

    On another positive note, I was down in Roanoke VA over the weekend and rented a 2011 HD Street Glide 103. I rode the Blue Ridge Pkwy on Saturday and Sunday. It was a great ride. The weather was really nice on Saturday and it is just switchback turn after turn. The HD was surprisingly nimble...

    yeah i hear you. i do basic maintenance myself...oil/filter changes, brake pads, rotors, plugs, stuff that unbolts easily. but i definitely do not feel comfortable or anywhere near qualified to open up a motor. i wish i was believe me.
