I had my first wipeout & I am totally EMBARRASSED!!

It always sucks to hear about a fellow rider going down, but great to hear you are doing well. Have a speedy recovery!

    Full circle

Thank you all. The paint was done by a friend of mine. He is just starting out doing custom paint and used my bike to experiment. I did a quick look around and found a similar paintjob by an outfit selling bodies on ebay.

    5 mins from the house.

Glad to hear your ok. One thing is for certain, your bike can be good as new a lot faster than those ribs. Cracked ribs suck!

I remember seeing impact was imminent and hitting the ground and rolling but not my initial separation from the bike. Carelessness on my part...

    Lesson learned!!

Actually the worst rash I got is on my side. I rolled so the legs and arms aren't much worse than if I woulda crashed a bicycle. The side however is where I took the initial impact. Slightly graphic but not gory.

rider i knew, in crash w a deer, of all things

That was always one of my biggest fears on a bike. Very sad story. RIP

    Lesson learned!!

With probably more than a little help from all the knowledgeable people here, I should be back together by the end of July.

    Lesson learned!!

Had my unfortunate incident 4/25. It was a beautiful day in Pa with temps in the 80's. To celebrate this unseasonally warm weather I went to run some errands and decided not to wear my leather. That was mistake 1. Mistake 2 was not keeping my eyes on the traffic ahead. As I was turning to...

    Engine kill switch wiring

I had a minor run in with a mini-van a few weeks back and decided to put my baby back together. While I was healing i started buying some parts that I was sure I needed without getting to rip the bike down. Like a dumbass I didnt check part #'s for the year and bought 07 switch for the...
