    Swingarm socket?

Where's the best (cheapest) place to get the 4-point special socket tool for removing the swingarm nut? I've also heard of people making them from a regular socket, is that hard to do? Is it worth the time?

GSXR 1K parts on first gen?

Hey everyone. Wrecked my busa (a 2007) a while back, and and I'm looking to rebuild. I have a friend with lots of stock gsxr 1k parts (from a 2004 i think) and I'm wondering what might work on my busa. Rearsets? Front wheel? (brake rotors?) Brakes? handlebars? Rear turn signals? Brake...

    Spark plug torque?

When you're tightening a new plug you can actually feel the crush washer squishing and then the force to turn the plug increases significantly all at once. I've used this method on cars... tighten slowly until it gets more difficult. Never stripped a plug before. But with the bike I wanted to go...

    Spark plug torque?

Thx guys. I'll be burning the pdf service manual on a cd and throwing it in with my owners manual in the hump so I don't have this problem again.

    Spark plug torque?

Doing spark plugs, tried to search and I can't find the torque spec on the forum... I'm not at home and don't have my manual with me. Anyone?

    "Here he comes,

The driving action scenes look entirely took fake for me to enjoy this movie. I'd prefer they went for something less "exciting" in favor of realism... cause if I feel like I'm watching a cartoon I won't be able to get into it.

    Motorcycle Self Defense Course ?

The only situation I've ever thought of where laying the bike down could help you is if you are somehow cutoff by a semi through an intersection where you might be able to slide under it if you went down. Otherwise your brakes+tires will stop you much faster than your body sliding over the road.

    problem of braking

I've never understood why people say the brakes on the busa (first gen is what I have) are bad... I can pull the bike into a stoppie or lock up the front tire any time I want... It doesn't take ANYWHERE NEAR my full strength to do so.  If a bike's brakes are strong enough to do this, what more...

    Need Tires

You might check locally. When I needed a new rear I shopped online and the cheapest I found for a 190/50-17 pilot power was about $160-170 + shipping. The local honda dealer had em for 149+tax. Never thought it would be cheaper locally because it seems like everything is cheaper over the...

    pilot road 2

Pilot roads (and road 2's) are a sport touring tire, they're supposed to be pretty good for the mileage you can get out of them. I believe they have a dual compound, so the edges are softer than the center tread, like the pilot power 2cts. If you want the stickiest thing michelin makes, get the...

    Some to think about

It's not the lack of water that stops corrosion, but the lack of oxygen. If you notice any difference in pressure fluctuation it's because of moisture in the air. Here's a quote stolen from a post on another forum I'm a member of that discussed this recently: <div class="iF-Passage"><div...

    Some to think about

Nitrogen expands at pretty much the same rate as regular air as a result of temperature change. In chemistry when you are calculating the volume of a gas, you use what's called a universal gas law which applies to all gasses. There are two major factors that come into play here. The first is...
