Yep. I have thought of buying and restoring one many times. Spent lots of time working through salvage yards as a kid looking for parts. Thought it was so cool.

The same for me. My dad had a '72 that was traded for a '74 with a/c. He threw me the keys and told me to back it up in the driveway. I was 12.

I've ridden in both an M60 and M1, but only fired the M1. Also rode in a Leopard 1. Amazing and scary what they can do.

As others have mentioned, glad you were able to walk away from that. I also wouldn't rush to meet with the adjuster as it sometimes takes a bit of time for things to settle in. The bike can/will be fixed, so making sure everything else is in order is more important. Keep us updated on how things...
