Won't Start. Pump, Regulator Or Electric

Need some advice. Gen 1 turbo, that won't start. I've got it down to fuel. I'm using a good battery, vortech SFMU (like BEGi, but also sets baseline pressure), decent fuel pump. Injectors aren't firing because I can only get pressure to 39 on prime. Cranking only gets to 35 max and pulses...

How to Adjust clutch? (busa trike)

So I've been working on a trike for a while. It's got a gen I busa motor with a turbo. I built the whole thing and got it running with nothing but the search function . But I need a little help. I'm just about ready to take it for run but really need some help making sure I got the clutch set...

    need ideas for tune

thaks for the replies guys. Im well aware of the need for a proper tune. im sure you know most turbo kits usually come with a base map. this is usually just to get the bike running so you can then get a proper tune. i have no base map, which is basically what im trying to accomplish. so i...

hi guys. Long time lurker here. Never really needed to post because ive been able to find everything i needed through a good forum search, but i need some ideas. First my set up: I have a 3 wheel vehicle that i have been building. It utilizes a GEN I motor, with a 14b running through a...

    No power to coils

So while I'm waiting for a replacement motor to come in on my gen 1, I figured I'd make sure all the other components of the bike are working correctly. I'm kinda stuck on the ignition. I'm not making any spark nor getting power to the coils. No codes thrown, battery good, fuses good. Since...

    Fuel pump not priming!

Thanks for the replies. I actually am using a car battery. I've hooked up the fuel pump to the voltage meter. I get 12v for like 2 sec before the relay turns off. After it turns off, I get no signal. The pump doesn't run during these 2 sec but the signal is there. So I can assume the pump is...

    Fuel pump not priming!

    Fuel pump not priming!

Yeah I'll do it when I get home. I put a volt meter on the relay, and it switches on and then switches right back off after a 2 sec pause. I'm wondering if after it switches, if the fuel pump isn't working it sends a signal back to turn the relay back off. Dunno. Maybe the relays shot too...

Hey guys. I got a salvage 95 I'm tring to get running. Just got a new ignition hooked up. All electrical is a go, except the fuel pump. I still have some investigating to do but im at work, so I thought I'd get some thoughts. Fuse is good, kickstand up, tip over sensor good. So i turn the...

How hard is an engine rebuild?

Yeah. I wont know till I tear into it. Not holding my breath. Got two holes: one in front of the headers and one on the top under the gas tank.

How hard is an engine rebuild?

So got a pretty good deal on an 05 that appears to have thrown #2 rod ( judging by the holes in the crankcase). I got for the parts. But then got to thinking about the motor. In general, what usually goes into a rebuild like this? Ive never torn into bike motors, might be fun. Obviously I'd be...

Exhaust opinons for busa powered kit car?

Thanks for the reply. I'm using power commander for fuel adjustments. Your right, it will prob need a tune. I guess my main concern is restriction vs back pressure. I know people who run straights usually lose some low end. I'd like to avoid that. The headers I could go either way. OEM...

Exhaust opinons for busa powered kit car?

Hey all. Im lookin for some opinions for an exhaust for my busa kit car. It's a gen 1. Due to asthestics and space, typical bike exhaust won't fit. So here is my proposition: it will be a custom 4-2-1 through an auger style silencer. I'm trying to have full flow, with some back pressure...
