Are HID’s still the best option for headlights

I noticed the scatter varies from brand to brand and led vs hid as well. Tested a few varieties. As soon as i posted the other day, i started digging into what goes into a retro. Many more options now as its common place for other makes and models. Time to pickup a headlight housing for a...

Are HID’s still the best option for headlights

Not a fan of refering others to aftermarket stuff from brands outside big names i trust. Go buy this and it fails and you die and we cry. Read reviews, find stuff others have bought for a busa and use at your own risk. This you will need for most H7 hids to fit in a busa, this seller has...

Are HID’s still the best option for headlights

I had all kinds of crazy gauge behavior with a (150w  ) hid and a bad battery. I had my gauges start or stop working randomly, stick at a set speed or rpm (no officer, i was doing 35 on the freeway, see!), resetting clock and justing being erratic. All due to low voltage...

Are HID’s still the best option for headlights

Bumping an old thread as I just went thru some of this. Running HID lows on my Gen1 for last couple years and I love em. Ive gone as far as adding an external switch and relay to have the HID off at start up. The ballast, bike and battery was happier this way. Its nice having the HID off at...

    Hey All!

Been a while. That motor with 700mi, she lasted until 5000mi. Cracked valve seals and anything that needed heat cycling or moderate lubrication was not happy. Over 15 years the bike was at breakin mileage, not good. Low miles is not all its cracked up to be sometimes! What to do??? Life and...

    24 volt system

Went big bore, discovered I needed to know all about this :P Thanks for posting! For anyone searching, this thread is all you need. The cable trick works perfectly too. The 24v starter wiring posted above, do it. Just wire it like the picture. Buy a cheap battery, throw it in the tail. Then...

    Hey All!

Had my 2002 for a few months now. Picked her up with 700 original miles! Intended to flip her for some quick $. Not gonna happen. She stays and the other bike goes! Loving every moment except when I had a low speed highside in the rain last weekend. Stupid wet road, wet leaves, crosswalk paint...

120 Miles Into Yosemite And Back

Many years ago, I rode my cbr954 from LA to the park and back. Road up to 9000 feet in July and saw snow. Ranger was nice enough to give me a warning. "I know why your are going that fast, I do the same when I ride here. Just slow it down buddy" haha
