I won't ship. It simply is a hassle and takes too much time. Besides... I'm giving away several hundreds of dollars worth of stuff to any potential board member where I could easily just put it on e bay or craigs and make some money.

Hi Guys, As I had posted, I traded the Busa for the 1000RR a few weeks ago. I have some extra stuff for it that I could sell, but would rather just give to an org member. . Here's the list. 1) A rear section in excellent condition.(It came off a 2006 Limited Edition pearl white/silver)...

    Bye Bye Busa...

...and with that ladies and gentleman of the Busa world, I bid you a fond farewell. I'm checking out of the org. Thanks for the tips, tricks, anecdotes, and informative content. This is truly a superior forum. Have a great season everybody

    Bye Bye Busa...

I can't imagine touring on one. The difference is, to me, the Busa is a couch with a jet engine under it. This thing is a straight up race bike. They have instructions on how to remove mirrors, blinkers, rear pegs, etc etc in the owners' manual. Everything is easy on easy off for the track...

    Bye Bye Busa...

Here's the update... The mild discomfort is in the neck and wrists, but I'm acclimating nicely. It's just a matter of getting used to this type of bike again. I put another 53 miles on today and I love this bike more and more with every mile. Now that I passed 186 miles, I'm able to rev up to...

    Bye Bye Busa...

The black was the dealer demo. I saw it and in person, it looked like an R1, gsxr, ninja cookie cutter to me. Yeah, it's different, but not so much that I was excited.

    Bye Bye Busa...

I see your bike in your signature. I'll just say that I don't have penis envy and leave it at that.

    Bye Bye Busa...

Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beer holder. I'll simply say, to me anyway, no picture or video has done this bike justice. When it's in person, esp the 2012, it's striking looking. The headlights initially were a turn off for me, but they grew on me. It looks like an angry wasp. I've...

    Bye Bye Busa...

Not pretty? I think it's an absolute knockout! The Busa had the antiquated styling (my 2006) so I gotta say I disagree.

Thanks! I did get the quick shift.

    Bye Bye Busa...

It's not comfortable. The seat is hard and it's a long way to the clip ons. Footpeg position doesn't bother me even though I'm 6'1. No complaints though. I knew what I signed up for.

    Bye Bye Busa...

The first 185 miles are 4k and under. The next 185 miles are 7k and under. The remaining miles up to the 1st service (600 miles) are electronically governed at 9k. At the service, they remove the limiter and you can spin it up to redline. The limiter is in place @ 9k. They just asked me to use...

    Bye Bye Busa...

BMW recommends this for the first 185 miles.

    Bye Bye Busa...

I traded in my 2006 Busa and picked up my 2012 S1000RR team color bike today from Lone Star BMW in Austin. I have to keep it under 5k so I have no idea how it compares to the 2006 Busa in terms of acceleration in broad terms, but I will say having goosed it a few times in the mid range, it seems...
