Hi i have a 2000 busa.
It was sitting for about a year at a repairers and the tank rusted in that time. (They refused to take responsibility for it rusting).
That was a few years ago and now the tank wont open. The key goes in and does not turn.
Does anyone know how i can get it open without damaging it (tank and lock).
Thanks in advance for your help

I would try DeepCreep. Sea Foam product. Use something that dissolves corrosion. It's hard on all the metal but in this case, it's warranted.

If that doesn't work, drill, I guess.

First off, unbolt it. Last thing u want is that stuff in your fuel. I had similar situation. I resealed tank with some blue resealer stuff from Minnesota?

Hi Try ACF50, Its similar to WD40 but a military grade product. As with WD40 leave it to soak in a while and work on the lock gently with the key. Your patience will pay off.

had same problem with 04 project busa this wk follow Bailey9r advice it will work may take a little time;)
