Big E,

Need your input bro;

On the 3 vent buttons on the front,when they're pressed down on the front side are they open or closed?

The two on the rear,slid towards the inside are they open or closed?

Hate to admit it but have been wearing a Corsair V for 5 years and have never been sure when I've had the damned vents open or closed(the little manual they supply doesn't seem to state which way is what).:laugh:

Arai is the next helmet I buy.

Previously, I really wanted to buy this Bell Star helmet, but I waited for it to go on sale, and somehow I managed to miss it by about a year. No one sells it anymore :(

A friend of mine bought his last year and likes it a lot.

I really like the Corsair V,extra plush inside for my bald head.:laugh:

Have you tried swapping the pads and liners to make an Arai fit?
I did. I went to Revzilla in Philli so I cud take my time and try on several with different cheek pads and I guess my head just don't fit an Arai. sucks cause they are by far my favorite helmets. plus they don't have a photocromatic lens like Shoie is releasing. I had that on my Bell Star which I really liked cause I usually go on late afternoon rides and come back at night.

although I wud never buy a Bell Star again nor wud I wear it if it was free. worst helmet I've ever owned. heavy, noisy, wanted to lift at high speeds, cheap material inside and just flimsy. junk imo.

Interesting viewpoint.

Check out this website - they do testing on a lot of helmets (in the UK, so some models are different than available in the US). They outline test procedures and the results. You'll notice that Bell has high marks across their entire product line. Most other helmet companies have poorly performing helmets here and there:

oh yea I'm sure its safe but I used it for a whole season and believe me it doesn't even hold a candle to the wind compared to my Shoei I bought. not even in the same league. thats just my opinion and I've owned numerous helmets. I think they look great but thats about it.
