I want to see them protest down here in Alabama. The only reason the cops would need to be around is to pull all of the patriotic rednecks off their pansy asses.

Just an observation about most of the protesters. I've noticed that most of them are college age kids. What's up with that? Do they believe their two semester of political science at the juco qualify them for anything? I'm all for free speech and all, but I'm not sure they even know why they are against the war.

OK, i'm raising my hand for a comment! A lot about the is starting the burn me up.

1. First of all, I not only support our troops, but I support our leaders and their decision to do this.

2. What I said in number 1 are two seperate issues! Im tired of people lumping them together. It is NOT UN-PATRIOTIC for people to be agaisnt this war, or to be vocal, or to protest. [/b]In fact that is the patriotic thing to do, and it is what being an American is all about. What they need to do is vote for leaders that will support their political viewpoints. That's why we have a multi-party system.

3. With that said, last night, we did have a lot on un-patriotic people out there...burning flags and such. You have to wonder why THOSE people stay here. Burning the flag tells me that they hate the country and our system of government. In that case...get lost!

4. Now there are true protestors, and there are those who just want to be a part of something, and act stupid. I am with Cache, what is the goal when you stop traffic on a busy expressway? How can you ask for peace, yet be so violent? Did it ever occur to these idiots that the car they just smashed may belong to an anti-war supporter? If the object of this behavior is to attract attention and get coverage, why would they be stupid enough to attack the press? I don't get it![b]

i don't get the fact that when 9/11 happen we were all "united" and supported our troops in action. now we are at war and those who cried out "support are troops" are now crying out peace not war.... it must be a yuppie thing... i don't know

I don't pre-judge people on a regular basis, but looking at the protestors on video, most look like yuppies and granolaheads.

I believe that they saw the connection between Osama and 911, but they do not see the threat posed by Iraq. Furthermore, they do not believe our leaders when we say that there is a threat. It is not too hard to understand why one would be against this war.

I can't say I am with you on this one Tommy. Too many labels and too broad. I believe that the majority of Democrats/Liberals are also in support of the war. Now it is just the nature of politics that Democrats will take every opportunity to take pot shots at there competition in the next election. I really don't think their motivation here is the election. As misguided as they may be, they just don't want war.

Thinker: That's okay, I'm just venting. I do believe however that liberal socialists in this country could be the death of it. My reasoning is lengthy, but the short version is that they want to turn America into a socialist country, and I don't think they see that. And so goes the battle of politics...... I really don't care if they support the war or not. If they want to do it violently let the police have their way with them. Gass them, beat them, or if necessary shoot them. All I care about is that you support our troops. If you don't I will take it personaly! Right now there is no draft. They all volenteered! Just like I did. We all know the risks involved when signing on the dotted line. All I can say is if I see anyone treeting a more recent vet the way they did the Viet Nam Vets you will have to pull me off of them.
