Yep. Do that too. Every tire change. Gotta get the pics.

None of that apparatus is going to be as accurate as a ten cent string line. If you want accuracy, align your rear tire with the front tire, not the swingarm.

How do you do that, with the rear being wider than the front? I mean how exactly in detail do you go about doing that?

Thanks for posting the link.

IMHO though, that will not be very accurate. First, tires are not perfectly true, if I run a dial gauge against the tire edge you can get several thousands of an inch run out. Even with the best tires. Then there is the accuracy of measuring against a string.

I think if one really wants to split hairs, the gizmo Pashnit is using will be the ticket.

Personally I always just use the swing arm markings.

My chain adjusters are still in their original adjustment position when I purchased the bike new, and the slack is still in specification, over 7,000 miles. So, I must be doing something right.

I guess there are different ways to skin a cat.

It works great and is exceedingly accurate. I got this off of a group buy on Extreme Busa a couple years ago. They seem hard to find though. A quick google search and all I can come up with the Tiger Racing version.

I've never run a 200 or a 55 before so thought I'd give it a shot just for the hell of it.Got them from Revzilla and came to $373 for the pair with free shipping,no sales tax, etc.(would've been $403 but I had $30 in "Zillacash" from when I bought my helmet, they give you $5 credit towards your next purchase for each $100 you spend).Way more tire than I need for what little riding I do but I've run the discontinued Power Ones since 2008 and this is my 2nd set of the Power Supersports(I mainly just like the cool tread pattern:laugh:).Also got 4,500 miles out of the rear before hitting the wear bars, front still has a lot left.

Check out the video,Anthony dude always does a pretty decent job.

Way more tire than I need for what little riding I do

Did you move back to OH and not tell us? :poke:

It's been over 2 months since I last rode - how many miles have you put on in the last 2 months?
So you count anything under 100 miles as a little ride = "little riding I do"

Are you just trying to make us feel better by making a statement like that?
Sorry it didn't work - Yes I'm jealous and this winter SUCKS especially right now in 0° temps and plenty of snow on the ground.
Yes I know you use to live in the snowbelt and now you live in paradise. I also know that there are pro's and con's to most everything.

If you really wanted to make us feel better, then offer us a week or two visit with guided tours of your fine roads with lane splitting abilities.
Of course we would need free vehicle with a trailer parking as we can't ride out of this Frozen White Wonderland we live in.
Unless you have an extra running sport bike sitting around that you would loan/rent us - then we could fly out of Iceville.
