Exchange program on Continental 120/70 ZR 17 and
120/70 R 17 motor cycle front wheel tires
Condition in the tread and/or belt may lead to
separation and possible pressure loss
Program covers approximately 170,000 tires sold
worldwide between 2007 and 2014
Hanover, August 11, 2014.
Continental today announced a voluntary tire exchange program covering approximately 170,000 Continental 120/70 ZR 17 and 120/70 R 17 motorcycle tires. Market feedback indicates that a very small number of these tires have exhibited a condition in the tread and/or belt which may lead to separation and possible air loss. Continental has not received any reports of accidents or injuries in connection with this condition. The exchange program is being initiated to avoid any potential risk to road-users. The affected tires were sold to original equipment and replacement customers worldwide between 2007 and 2014.

The Continental 120/70 ZR 17 and 120/70 R 17 tires are identified as follows:

I was just ready to by this tire on amazon for $70. Great tire for the money. I will have to check with seller to see if they are the newer tires.

Thanks
