Yosemite in the snow

Just a couple shots of Shangri-La. My son and DIL came over so I took em to the snow.

They look B&W don’t they? That’s how dark and overcast it was. I included my granddaughter in one to show the color of her coat. Temps were in the low to mid 30s. Had to laugh at some rookie drivers putting on chains w/o any snow on the road! That’s not good for their tires or the road. This shot is thru the windshield as we came down from Badger Pass where the ski lift was. My son’s AWD Mazda CX9 was fine in the snow. We did see an SUV on its side off a corner on our way out. No snow or ice, probably inattention looking more at the gorgeous snow covered timber.

Yes, now that you mention it, very much like black and white. The almost look like paintings as well. Remarkable.

Very much enjoy seeing pics of snow. I have no problem living vicariously there.
