ok so i dont have any pics of my trailer with me @ work.

quick background:
worked out a deal on a busa 2K6
need to drive 12 hours/one way to pick it up AND then back
have access to a 3x5 trailer with a Harbor Freight Chock
trailer has only been used with the wifes suzuki s40
plenty of tie down points and straps
picked up a canyon dancer

------------------ busa ------- s 40

wheel base ------- 58.5 ----- 54.3
overall length ----- 84.3 ----- 86.2

my gs500 looks way bigger than her s40

mathamaticly judgeing from wheel base the bike will fit..
5ft = 60 in

realisticly will the bike fit?

we trailerd her bike on that trailer with ALL our luggage
from North Carolina to way way west Texas way west
with no issues. 33 total driving hours.

in need of assistance and guideance pretty quick here. only have the rest of today and half day sunday to get the trailer ready for next weekend.

OR find another way

sry for lack of intro. im not legally an owner yet. but once i am i'll post pics and bio and history for everyone to enjoy and poke fun of.. thanks in advance

Will not fit on a 5' platform...you still have more than a foot from the front axle to the tip of the front fender. If you can over hang the front wheel off the front of the trailer...maybe it will work.

Post pics of the trailer.

I dont think it will. My trailer is 4x8 and with the wheel in a chock touching the front bar, I didnt have much space in the the rear. Mine has the ramp that folds up, maybe if you dont have that it can poke out the back? Possible to rent one from Uhaul or something??

U-haul has motorcycle trailers that are only ~20 bucks or so to rent. I used one when I bought my Busa and it fits and works pretty well. Can't beat for the money.

You'll need six feet brother.
 like inches!! sry couldnt help myself

So there i was sitting on my trailer wondering what i was going to do.
and i thought this d@m thing looks bigger than 3x5.
one tape measure later and BAM its a 4x6

also the front and back panels are 100percent removeable

so i mounted my chock the way it was when we moved here.
picked up a canyon dancer deal from the stealership for 33bucks i think.
slaped my gs500 in there with the canyon dancer.

i am a pretty rough tester of new things and i rocked the gas out of the bike with just the chock and the 2 rachet straps

the bike isnt "solid". it still uses the suspensions movement but that sucker isnt falling any place. for inner city trailering i would trust just the 2 straps.
for this 12 hour ride i will be using the condor method and the canyon dancer for peace of mind!!!

i took a bunch of pics of the set up.. once i hack back into my photo bucket account i will post up pics..

thank you all for your help and support
